Roadworks sign Week Commencing 22 May

Footway refurbishment continues on Westland Rd, Cottesmore this week.

Cutting of grass verges in rural areas (one meter swathe width) will be in progress this week across the county. Motorists are advised to pass the tractor and flail unit with due care and consideration.

Construction of the Stamford Rd roundabout in connection with the Oakham bypass has commenced. 4 way lights are in operation at the junction of the A606 Stamford Rd and Burley Park Way during working hours only but motorists (in all directions) may expect to be delayed for a short time.

Bypass drainage connections are also underway on Landsí End Way at the northern end, which may affect local traffic for a short-while.

Carriageway patching is programmed for the A6121 between Ketton and Morcott this week. Temporary traffic signal control will be in operation and motorists may anticipate some delay.

A short section of South St, Oakham is being resurfaced this Sunday between Penn St and the Mill St/ Brooke Rd junction. A local diversion will be signed.

Severn Trent Water will be working on a mains connection on Main St, Barrowden, on the 22nd.

The Green, Exton will be closed to all traffic on the 29th in connection with a local Street Fayre. A local diversion will apply.

Advance notice is given of resurfacing works planned by Amscott on behalf of the Highways Agency on the A1 between South Witham and Stretton (overnight), commencing 3rd June and expected to finish on the 5th. Minor delays may be experienced.

Works in connection with the provision of a zebra crossing on North St East, Uppingham, commence 30th May and are expected to take 3 weeks to complete. Motorists may expect some minor delay and may wish to take an alternative route for the duration.
